“Now nearly 50, I had been trying to break the 3-hour marathon barrier for over 10 years and visited Performance Evolution to see if they could get that extra 5% out of me. Having reviewed my diet, training plan, technique and general conditioning, they prepared a fitness programme that I could fit in around my work and running schedule. This included a tailored warm up incorporating drills designed to mitigate the risk of injuries I had suffered before re-occurring and advised on my diet, focussing me more on what (and when) I ate and less on weight loss. They even helped me prepare my detailed race strategy for Frankfurt. Come the day and I achieved my goal, completing in 2:58:52. Happy as!“

“I went to PE to get some advice on getting back into running and generally improving my fitness after a few years of cumulative weight gains had taken a bit of a toll. Their assessment was really detailed - they highlighted potential weak points in my body and helped me strengthen them, so that I could avoid injuries in the future. I return regularly for advice on my running and, now, also triathlon, with Barry helping me tackle open water swimming. Barry predicted I’d beat my Olympic triathlon PB this year at London and correctly forecast my time even, which was around 2:35! I recommend PE wholeheartedly.“

“I love Chateau de la Motte Henry and I love the surrounding area. Great open water swimming in local lakes and rivers (including the lake on site!), beautiful riverside running trails and scenic cycling routes nearby. Being France, there are also a load of athletics tracks, running trails and pools nearby.“

“Having had surgery on my leg, and wanting to get some strength back, I decided to take up road cycling. Performance Evolution helped me, preparing easy-to-follow plans to improve both my conditioning and my endurance. Over the years they have offered knowledgeable, up-to-date advice on my technique, the physical demands of various races and nutrition. I qualified for the age group world championships in 2017 and I am aiming to complete the Haute Route in 2018.“

“I am getting back to sport after quite a few years away and Performance Evolution is helping me at every stage. I was assessed at their facility and given a strength and conditioning programme, which they came to my gym to demonstrate. I was also given a programme to get me back running and cycling. My programmes are revised every 6-8 weeks and I am regularly re-tested to assess my progress. My aim is to complete a triathlon in 2018 and I am starting to think that I will get round!“
