Wellness S&C Screen | Healthspan & Longevity
£300.00
The physical and metabolic qualities most consistently linked to healthy ageing — strength, power, movement control, bone density, body composition and true resting metabolic rate — measured directly, deliberately excluding the higher-impact jump and agility testing that belongs in athletic screening, not here. Seven tests, read together into one clear picture of where you actually stand.
Description
Healthspan research keeps pointing to the same handful of qualities — strength, power, bone density, lean mass, movement control, and metabolic health — as the strongest predictors of staying independent and capable for decades. Almost nobody gets any of them properly measured until something’s already gone wrong. This screen measures all of them, appropriately, in one session.
Who this is for
Anyone thinking seriously about the next twenty or thirty years of their physical life — whether prompted by a family history of osteoporosis or falls, a stage-of-life decision to take healthspan seriously, or simply wanting a genuine baseline instead of relying on how capable you currently feel, which is a notoriously unreliable guide to what’s actually changing underneath.
What’s included
– Foundational movement screen (12 tests) — the full battery: movement control, mobility, core stability and functional strength, left and right scored independently.
– Max Strength Testing (4 tests) — the full isometric battery, one of the most consistently replicated predictors of long-term health outcomes in the research.
– Power Training Assessment (3 tests) — countermovement jump, single-leg hop and isometric rate of force development. The drop-jump/reactive strength test is deliberately excluded — it adds landing-impact risk without adding longevity-relevant information.
– Neuromuscular Control Assessment (3 tests) — landing mechanics (from the CMJ, not a drop-jump), single-leg dynamic balance, and reactive perturbation response — directly tied to fall risk and fall recovery.
– Bone density screening (heel ultrasound) — a direct, otherwise easy-to-ignore read on fracture risk.
– Body composition (bioelectrical impedance) — lean mass versus fat mass, the balance that matters far more to long-term function than weight alone.
– Resting metabolic rate — measured, not estimated, calorie burn at rest, read directly alongside your lean mass — metabolic rate and body composition tell a coherent story together that neither tells alone.
What you get
One integrated report connecting all seven findings. A bone density result means something different read against your body composition and strength data than it does alone; your RMR means something different read against your lean mass than as a number on its own. Every recommendation is matched to the specific test that flagged it — a precise, prioritised plan for what will move the needle on your healthspan specifically.
